The Space

Located at 2 King St W. in Kitchener, the SDG Idea Factory is a first-of-its-kind social, environmental and equity-focused incubator that will help social entrepreneurs tackle some of the biggest challenges faced by our community and our planet.

The SDG Idea Factory is already home to LiftOff by CCAWR, Waterloo Region Community Foundation, The ForUsGirlsFoundation, Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest and the Waterloo Region Small Business Centre. Located at 2 King St. W., it includes 20,000 square feet of space, with bookable meeting rooms; hot desks; a training-boardroom; co-working offices; and a large event space known as the Collabor8 area. The space was renovated with sustainable materials including recycled carpet and repurposed or upcycled furniture. This hub model provides an opportunity for community partners and local and global stakeholders to actively engage in the space.
